Today is like my Saturday, and it’s only Thursday!!  Yay!  The husband took off work for the rest of the week and short of being on a beach somewhere with a cocktail in hand, I’d say this is going to be a great “vacation.”

When the daughter got on her bus for PM kindergarten, we took advantage of being able to go to any restaurant we wanted with the toddler in tow.  (He already had eaten lunch so I figured he can sit anywhere right?!)  My choice, sushi!  I barely get to eat it anymore unless it’s from a plastic package, so I jumped at the chance to.

Well, I’m happy to report this lunch was fantastic!!  Not only was the sushi great, and the location was about 5 minutes from our house; but it turned out to be very eye opening with the toddler.

He downed edamame and tried vegetable tempura.  Best part?  He taught himself how to use chop sticks!  Seriously.  I’m in my 30s and am still struggling with those wooden sticks and the 2.5 year old was eating edamame with them.  Awesome!!

So, turns out you can take kids to a sushi restaurant and still have an enjoyable experience!
