As I’m sitting here I’m wondering two things.

1) How did I just sit through “pulling thorns out of babydolls” for over 30 minutes?

2)  Why do I feel the need to get the kids Christmas toys when they really don’t need them?

‘Tis the season for imagination and new things I guess.  As I am getting older I’m realizing my patience has drastically decreased.  Don’t get me wrong, I love playing with my kids, but it’s sure getting hard to “pretend” for countless hours.

There’s a reason the kids go to bed a couple of hours before the parents…. we need to decompress and get our minds ready for another day of anything their imagination throws at us.  (It also is a great time to sneak in snacks and cocktails!)
