I’ve now been blogging for 8 months and I can’t believe how much I’ve enjoyed this experience. I went into this blogging adventure with only one main objective in mind; to have an outlet that I desperately needed. I didn’t start this blog to make millions, become famous (I’d be the most boring celebrity), or sell products. I did it for me. Now that I think about it, I think it’s one of the first things I’ve done just for me since becoming a momma.

I’ve been thinking a lot about why I blog lately and what I’ve learned from blogging this far. It’s turning into an interesting list so I thought I’d share it.

1) It’s my outlet. Obviously this is reason #1. I’ve been a stay at home mom now for 6 years and sometimes I need to be able to say what’s on my mind; turns out I can’t always do that with little ears around so this platform works great… (until they can read and use the internet solo haha).

2) I can just be me. No need to pretend everything is perfect, because clearly it’s not!

3) My kids are way funnier than I thought. I didn’t realize how funny some of the things my kids do are until I started writing them down. (I also think my inner dialogue is way sassier than I thought!)

4) I’ve found a hobby! I didn’t really have a hobby before and I can finally say I’ve found one I enjoy. (And this hobby doesn’t involve making any kinds of messes that I’ll have to clean up later.)

5) It’s eye opening. This is both a good and bad thing. I’ve learned a lot about friends and family by having this blog. You learn who supports your passions and admire those people even more. Of course there’s a flip side to this but I’ll stay positive on this blog post!

I’m going to keep on blogging for my sanity and my passion as long as I can! Thanks to you for your support and encouragement. It means the world!!
